Meshtastic Configuration

I have learned a lot about how to configure Meshtastic networks.  I believe that if you configure Meshtastic well, you can pretty much get the power of Meshcore but using the more mature Meshtastic.

The first part of this is to understand selection of device roles.

For my solar nodes mounted at home and most places, the best role is Client_Base which is intended for that device you place at home and hopefully high.

For the very few rally high places, such as Signal Mountain at the repeater site, the best role is Router.  (Repeater role is now obsolete.)

I will continue to read the Meshtastic Blog postings and other documents I find to learn more about this.
