It has been 4 years since we were last there.&nbsp; This is a place where you first look over the rim at the lake and just say, Oh My!!&nbsp; It is really gorgeous and so I had to take a bunch of photos.&nbsp; On this trip, the eastern rim road was still closed because of snow, and the northern entrance and western rim road had just opened a few days before we arrived, so there was lots of snow visible.&nbsp; We could see many peaks in Oregon, and could see Mount Shasta, too.&nbsp; Then it was time to return to our base camp at Valley of the Rogue State Park along I-5 before starting home the next day.</span></div>  <div><div style="height: 20px; It contains several recreation areas centered around its lakes.&nbsp; We drove through the park on our way to Seattle, and spent the night at Newhalem campground which has nicely spaced sites.&nbsp; There are a number of hiking trails available from the campground and also a walk to the National Park visitor center, which is a place we always visit when we are at a National Park.&nbsp; Its occupants, Don and Cheryl, were also at the Escape Trailer rally and were in a site adjacent to us there, so it was deja vu.&nbsp; They are from Mississippi and have traveled about 50,000 miles in their trailer, so they way exceeded our 19,000 miles.&nbsp; Of course, theirs is one year older ;-) so I guess we still have time to catch up with them.<br /><br />&#8203;</span><span style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0)">We drove along the main road, Route 20, and stopped at many points along the road.&nbsp; We couldn't really see Ross Lake from the highway, but it must be at least 20 miles long.&nbsp; It is right next to Diablo Lake.&nbsp; There is a resort on Ross Lake that can only be reached by walking to it, so it is quite remote.&nbsp; I failed to take many photos here, but I have included what I took.&nbsp; There were about 150 trailers at the rally.&nbsp; We saw some of Osoyoos as well as enjoying meeting many other Escape Trailer owners.&nbsp; We met several from the Bay Area, which was fun.&nbsp; We were assigned site 77, which was right on the waterfront.&nbsp; The photo is the view out of our back window of the trailer.&nbsp; The first night, there was quite a thunderstorm that passed over us.&nbsp; clear: both; height: 0px; overflow: hidden;'></span></div> 				<div style="height: 20px; overflow: hidden;"></div></div>  <div class="paragraph"><span style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0)">Osoyoos, BC, is on the shores of Osoyoos Lake, which is on the Okanagan River, which is in the middle of the northern tip of the Sonora Desert.&nbsp; On the shores of the river/ lake, things are lush, and the wine grapes grow well, with 60 wineries right around there.&nbsp; Go a mile or so from the river, and it's desert.&nbsp; When you drive east out of the river valley, there is a view point where you can see over the river valley to the North Cascades.</span></div>  <div><div style="height: 20px; Every year about this time, they host a rally for Escape trailer owners.&nbsp; We thought we should go to one, so we are on our way.&nbsp; Today, we traveled 384 miles to Chiloquin, OR, and are staying overnight in Waterwheel RV Park.&nbsp;
